Robert McKisson House

Gannett Road, Sagamore Hills Township

Robert McKisson built this stately home in 1838. His wife, Catherine, never lived long enough to enjoy it.

On a balmy July night in 1837, she was axed to death in the family log cabin by her step daughters suitor.

Her ghost now remains peacefully attached to the home, cleaning rooms and wandering the halls. Two other unknown ghosts are believed to inhabit the house as well.

The house is a private residence, so please, no trespassing.
