Sighted all across the valley History When we think of bigfoot, thoughts tend to drift to stories from the Rocky Mountains, not Ohio. According to cryptozoologists, though the Grassman fits the description of 'Bigfoot', it's habits are far more social. Crude dwellings similar to those of the lowland gorilla have been spotted across the valley. Though it is believed these creatures feed on deer, they have also been seen in and around fields browsing for more cultivated plants. With plentiful deer and cornfields all across the valley, this seems to be a prime spot for any creature. Rolling hills and steep water-carved crevices would make for very good hiding places as well. According to accounts, the creatures "cry like a baby" and "scream like a banshee". They can range from 5 to 10 feet tall and weigh as much as 1,000 pounds. They are usually accompanied by a strong, unpleasant odor of rotten eggs. Footprints have also been spotted in damp areas. The last recorded searches I have unearthed took place in 1995, so undoubtedly if this legend is true, these large, ape-like creatures haven't left the region.
